Minors

Credit Card Security Information
Scrapbooks.com understands that you are concerned about the security of the information you entrust to us. It is very important to us, too. To make sure your information is safely guarded we use what the industry calls Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). When you enter the page which requests your personal information, you will notice two subtle things happen to the window in which the information page exists. At the top of the window, where the web address of the current page is, you will see that the normal http://ŠŠ changes to https//Š. Also the lower left hand of your browser window will change to an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending which browser you use). Those two indicators tell you that you have entered a secure area. Some browsers give you a warning window when you move from a secure area to a non-secure area. Don't be alarmed you haven't done anything wrong just click on "continue" to proceed. You may receive more than one warning message.
What does secure area mean?
SSL encrypts all information that goes between your computer and our server so it cannot be stolen in transit. This is a commonly accepted way of receiving private information using Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer.
How safe is it really?
SSL is the commonly accepted method to receive private information used by many web sites, even bank web sites.
Today we use RC4 128-bit encryption, which is 2 to the 88th times harder to decrypt than 40-bit encryption. That means that the computing power required to decrypt such a message would be more than 1,000,000,000,000 (trillions) of times greater than that which was used to decrypt the RC4 40-bit message. It is practically impossible to decrypt a message using RC4 128-bit encryption and hardly worth the computing resources required for it.
Scrapbooks.com uses 128-bit encryption to collect for all payment information. No credit card information is sent unencrypted on the web. After the orders are collected from the web server the information is deleted from the server.
Please note that e-mail is not encrypted and is not considered a secure means of transmitting credit card numbers and that we will NEVER ask for sensitive information via e-mail. Your email confirmation will not contain sensitive credit card information.
The security of your online business transactions is one of our greatest concerns. Scrapbooks.com guarantees that your shopping experience will be safe and worry-free. You may transmit your personal and credit card information on our web site with peace of mind and trust in us.
If you choose to visit Scrapbooks.com, your visit and any dispute over privacy is subject to this Notice, including limitations on damages, arbitration of disputes, and application of the law of the state of Utah. If you have any concern about privacy at Scrapbooks.com, please send us a thorough description to comments@scrapbooks.com, and we will try to resolve it.
